Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 is best)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if necessary)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated without over-mixing.
  • Transfer the meat mixture to a piece of parchment paper and shape it into a loaf that fits your air fryer basket.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking and place the meatloaf on top of the parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Place the meatloaf in the preheated air fryer and cook for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Brush extra ketchup on top halfway through for a nice glaze.

Serving

  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes or a salad.

Notes

For variations, experiment with different ground meats, add vegetables, and always check for doneness with a thermometer. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
