  • 1 teaspoon vinegar Adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Peel and grate the cucumber using a fine grater for a smoother texture.
  • Place the grated cucumber in a clean dish towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out the excess moisture.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the strained Greek yogurt, drained cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, vinegar, sea salt, and ground pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well integrated.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning or garlic as needed.

Chilling and Serving

  • Transfer tzatziki to a serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with pita bread, grilled meats, or fresh vegetables.
