  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each) Choose fresh fillets for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 juice lemon, plus lemon slices for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Season liberally.
  • Fresh herbs (dill, parsley, or thyme) for garnish Use your favorite herbs.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a baking dish and use parchment paper for easy clean-up if desired.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the dish. Drizzle olive oil over each fillet, then sprinkle with minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Squeeze lemon juice on top.

Baking

  • Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork, with an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, let it rest for a couple of minutes, then garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

For more flavor, consider marinating the salmon for 30 minutes before baking. Enjoy with various sides like quinoa and salads, or using toppings like pesto.
