Fruit Filling

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries Use ripe and fragrant berries for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced Make sure peaches are fresh and ripe.

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar Adjust sweetness according to the tartness of the fruit.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh blueberries and sliced peaches, making sure the fruit is well-distributed.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until you have a crumbly mixture.
  • In a greased baking dish, layer the blueberry and peach mixture at the bottom, then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the fruits.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and let it bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  • Once out of the oven, allow your crumble to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, ripe fruits. You can serve this crumble warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for about 3–5 days.
