- Base Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder whey or plant-based
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- Flavor & Sweetener
- 1 –2 tbsp maple syrup or honey or sweetener of choice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional Toppings
- Fresh berries
- Banana slices
- Nut butter
- Chocolate chips or cacao nibs
- Coconut flakes
Mix the Base
In a medium bowl or mason jar, add milk, cocoa powder, protein powder, sweetener, vanilla, and salt.
Whisk well until completely smooth and lump-free.
Add Chia Seeds
Stir in chia seeds until evenly distributed.
Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best texture.
Serve
Stir once more before serving.
Add desired toppings and enjoy cold.
