  • 1 tablespoon pure peppermint extract Gives ice cream its minty flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances the overall taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until fully blended and the sugar is dissolved.
  • Stir in the peppermint extract until it’s well incorporated. Taste and adjust the mintiness according to your preference.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1-2 hours.

Churning

  • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually around 20-25 minutes, until it reaches a thick, soft-serve consistency.
  • If you’re using chocolate chips or other additions, fold them into the ice cream after churning.
  • Transfer your churned mint ice cream into an airtight container. Freeze for at least 4 hours to firm it up.

Serving

  • Scoop out into bowls or cones, and enjoy!
