Ingredients

  • Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
  • 12 oz angel hair pasta cooked separately
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed
  • Seasonings & Flavor Base
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Pantry Staples
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (or 1 teaspoon jarred garlic)
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste (adjust at end)
  • Fresh parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Lightly grease a 6-quart crock pot with nonstick spray.
  • Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom. Season lightly with pepper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and garlic.
  • Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  • Add cubed cream cheese and butter on top.
  • Cover and cook:
  • Low: 6–7 hours
  • High: 3–4 hours
  • When chicken reaches 165°F and is fork-tender, stir the sauce until smooth.
  • Shred chicken or leave whole, depending on preference.
  • Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot over cooked angel hair pasta and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Always cook pasta separately—adding it to the crock pot will cause it to overcook.
  • Stirring at the end is key to creating a smooth, silky sauce.
  • For extra richness, finish with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
