Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the cucumbers and tomatoes thoroughly.
  • Peel the cucumbers if desired and slice into rounds.
  • Cut the tomatoes into thick slices or wedges.

Mozzarella Preparation

  • Slice the fresh mozzarella into rounds about a quarter-inch thick.

Basil Preparation

  • Leave the basil leaves whole or slice them smaller.

Assembly

  • On a large platter, alternate cucumber slices, tomato wedges, and mozzarella slices.
  • Aim for an eye-catching presentation.

Dressing and Serving

  • Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Gently toss or serve deconstructed.
  • Serve immediately or chill for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes
