Ingredients
  

  • For the chicken mixture:
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the sauce and topping:
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional for serving:
  • Cooked pasta
  • Fresh basil or parsley
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the chicken mixture:
  • In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, and seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Shape and cook:
  • Form into patties. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Add sauce:
  • Pour marinara sauce over the cooked chicken and let simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add cheese:
  • Sprinkle mozzarella on top, cover, and cook until melted and bubbly (or transfer to oven to finish).
  • Serve:
  • Serve hot with pasta or vegetables, and garnish with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan.
