Ingredients

For the Mousse

  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream Dairy-free option
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder or sugar-free chocolate Depending on your flavor preference
  • 1/4 cup powdered erythritol Or any keto-friendly sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Grab a mixing bowl, a whisk or an electric mixer, and a spatula. Make sure everything is clean and ready to go.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the unsweetened cocoa powder, powdered erythritol, and a pinch of salt to ensure everything is well mixed before adding the wet ingredients.
  • In a separate bowl, pour in your heavy cream or coconut cream. Use an electric mixer to beat it until soft peaks form, being careful not to over-beat.
  • Gradually fold the dry mixture into the whipped cream, adding the vanilla extract as you go, ensuring a smooth texture.
  • Spoon the mousse into serving bowls or glasses. Cover them and let them chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • When ready, garnish with your favorite keto-friendly toppings like berries, nuts, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

Notes

Experiment with flavors like almond or peppermint. Ensure the cream is cold before whipping. Adjust sweetness before chilling, as it may dull slightly. Avoid over-whipping to prevent graininess.
