- * 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each
- * ¾ cup fresh orange juice
- * 1 tablespoon orange zest
- * 2 tablespoons honey
- * 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- * 3 cloves garlic minced
- * 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- * 1 tablespoon olive oil
- * 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional
- * Salt to taste
- * Black pepper to taste
- * Red pepper flakes optional
- * Water for slurry, optional
Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes until crispy.
Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes, then remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, cook for 30 seconds.
Add orange juice, zest, honey, and soy sauce.
Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly reduced.
(Optional) Mix cornstarch with water and add to thicken the sauce.
Return salmon to the pan and spoon glaze over it.
Cook for 1–2 more minutes until well coated.
Remove from heat and let rest briefly before serving.
