Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 ears Fresh corn on the cob (preferably in husks) Select fresh corn with plump kernels and green husks.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (for brushing) Melted butter enhances the flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.

Optional Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Add for a hint of spice.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For a smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder For a kick.
  • to taste Herbs Such as parsley, basil, or dill.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Prepare the corn by peeling back the husks (if desired) but leaving them attached at the base. Remove the silks and rinse under cold water.
  • Brush each ear with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and optional seasonings.
  • Wrap the husks back over the corn or place the corn directly on a baking sheet.

Roasting

  • Place the corn in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes. Turn the ears halfway through for an even roast.
  • Check for doneness by ensuring the kernels are plump and vibrant, and the husks are slightly charred.
  • Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and serve warm with additional butter or toppings.

Notes

Customize your corn with toppings like feta cheese, lime, or cilantro. Ensure you do not overcrowd the baking sheet for optimal roasting.
