Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Form into small balls, about one inch in size.

Cooking

  • Place the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • While the meatballs are baking, combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Optionally, add crushed pineapple for texture.
  • Once meatballs are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the glaze over them. Gently toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately or keep warm in a slow cooker or covered dish. Use toothpicks for easy serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding a dash of chili sauce or hot sauce to the glaze. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days or frozen for two months.
