Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally until hot but not boiling.

  • Once combined, add the cocoa mixture back into the saucepan and stir until fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract and adjust the food coloring if needed.
  • In a separate bowl, whip together the heavy cream and cream cheese until soft peaks form. Add a bit of sugar for sweetness if desired.
  • Pour the Red Velvet Hot Chocolate into mugs and top with the cream cheese whipped topping.
  • Finish with your choice of toppings, such as sprinkles or chocolate shavings, to add flair.

Notes
