For the Banana Bread

  • 3-4 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Use overly ripe bananas for maximum sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional) Add for extra texture.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Add the melted butter and mix well.
  • Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the banana mixture, folding gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Gently swirl in half of the salted caramel sauce into the batter.
  • Grease your loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drizzle the remaining salted caramel sauce over the top.
  • Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

For maximum flavor, use overly ripe bananas. Don’t overmix to avoid dense bread. Consider adding nuts, chocolate chips, or spices like cinnamon for variation.
