Ingredients
  

  • 4 –5 ripe peaches peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg optional
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: splash of lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Wash, peel (optional), and slice peaches into wedges.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  • Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add sliced peaches and cook for 3–4 minutes.
  • Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Cook until peaches release juices and mixture becomes syrupy.
  • Add cornstarch slurry and stir well.
  • Cook for 1–2 minutes until thickened and glossy.
  • Stir in vanilla extract and optional lemon juice.
  • Remove from heat and let cool before using.
