Ingredients

Filling

  • 6-8 medium Fresh peaches, peeled and sliced Approximately 4 cups if using canned or frozen.
  • 1 cup Sugar For sweetness in filling and sprinkling on top.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon For flavor enhancement.

Batter

  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder Helps the batter rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt To balance flavors.
  • 1 cup Milk Adds moisture to the batter.
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted Essential for rich flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them, then toss with sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon. If using canned peaches, drain and combine with sugar and spices.

Making the Batter

  • Then, add milk and melted butter until well blended.

Assembling and Baking

  • Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches—don’t worry about covering them completely; it will spread while baking!

  • Allow your cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving.
