- 1 pint fresh strawberries hulled and diced
- 1 baguette sliced into thin rounds
- 6 –8 oz cream cheese softened
- Flavor Base & Seasonings
- 2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
- 2 –3 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil finely chopped
- Pantry Staples
- Olive oil for brushing bread
- Pinch of salt
Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice baguette into even rounds.
Dice strawberries and chop basil.
Toast the Bread
Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet.
Lightly brush each slice with olive oil.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping once, until golden and crisp.
Prepare Strawberry Topping
In a bowl, combine diced strawberries, honey, basil, and a small pinch of salt.
Let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
Assemble
Spread a layer of cream cheese on each toasted baguette slice.
Spoon strawberry mixture on top.
Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze just before serving.
