Ingredients

For the shrimp

  • 1/2 pound jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • kosher salt and pepper, to taste
  • Blackstone Sweet Teriyaki seasoning blend (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil of choice

For the rice and toppings

  • 2 8-ounce pouches Jasmine rice (e.g., Ben's Ready Rice) Microwave pouches for convenience.
  • 1 large avocado (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 wedges lime
  • Sauce of choice: yum yum sauce, sriracha, spicy mayo, or more teriyaki sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine shrimp, teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Optionally, add Blackstone Sweet Teriyaki seasoning and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  • Prepare the Jasmine rice according to package instructions.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of cooking oil. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they're pink and opaque.

Assembly

  • In a bowl, place a generous portion of cooked rice at the base. Top with the sautéed shrimp, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and drizzle with your favorite sauces.

Notes

For best results, watch the shrimp closely to avoid overcooking. Use fresh ingredients for enhanced flavor. Experiment with additional toppings for diversity. Assemble bowls just before serving for optimal freshness.
