Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe watermelon, cubed and seeds removed Use ripe watermelon for best taste.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (optional) Can add a tangy flavor.
  • to taste sweetener (like honey, if desired) Watermelon is naturally sweet.
  • to taste mint leaves (optional for extra flavor) Mint adds a refreshing twist.
  • 1 set popsicle molds Any mold type works.
  • 6 pieces sticks Used to hold popsicles.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds. For a smoother texture, blend the watermelon to create a puree.
  • In a blender, add the cubed watermelon, lime juice, and sweetener if you’re using it. Blend until smooth.
  • Carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle molds. You can add mint leaves or chunks of additional fruit for a fun twist.
  • Place popsicle sticks into the molds. If your molds don’t keep the sticks upright, freeze for about 30 minutes, then insert the sticks.
  • Let your popsicles freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
  • To release the popsicles, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds, and they should slide right out.

Notes

Homemade popsicles can be stored in the freezer for up to three months. Keep them covered to prevent freezer burn and maintain flavor. Experiment with flavors like strawberries or coconut milk for unique profiles.
