Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., almond or peanut)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Can reduce for less sweetness
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vegan if desired)

Optional Add-ins

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips Optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds Optional

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, maple syrup, and protein powder. Stir well until a uniform mixture forms.
  • If desired, fold in chocolate chips and any chopped nuts or seeds.
  • Spoon the mixture into a lined baking dish or a square pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly and press it down firmly.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least an hour to help the bars firm up.
  • Once chilled, lift the mixture out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper and cut it into bars or squares.
  • Enjoy as a quick snack or share with family and friends!

Notes

Keep leftover bars in an airtight container; they can last up to two weeks in the fridge. You can also freeze them for up to three months.
